App badges may not be updating correctly in all cases. For example, the app badge may not display the correct number before opening the app for the first time or after receiving a reminder notification.
In all cases performance may be improved if you don't manually quit the app by swiping up; this can ensure that the push notifications are received correctly. We are investigating all reports though, so please let us know if you have any different behavior.
