Identified

A major issue at CloudFlare, our CDN/anti-DoS provider, is the cause of the 500 errors.

The same issue is affecting cloudflare.com and other CloudFlare customers:

We'll evaluate possible work-arounds if the issue is long-running.

Investigating

The site has been returning intermittent 500 errors to some users since 11:30pm PST.

We're investigating the cause now.
